What is mole mapping?
Mole mapping and digital dermoscopy are a non-invasive, cost-effective method used to detect skin cancer, including in its early stages. Our FotoFinder machine allows us to photograph, store, and create an image database of all your moles (Mole Mapping), which allows us to do a comparison over time and identify any changes. Any suspicious moles, or moles that are found to have concerning changes over time will then be further analyzed using digital dermoscopy. This is key to increasing diagnostic accuracy and improving the chance of finding skin cancer early.
